Alan Gratz

 

Gratz is the author of the historical young adult novel Samurai Shortstop which was named one of the American Library Association's Top Ten Best Books for Young Adults in 2007. His other works include Something Rotten, a young adult murder mystery based on "Hamlet" and its sequel, Something Wicked (based on "Macbeth") which will be published in October 2008. His forthcoming novels include The Brooklyn Nine (2009), Something Foolish (2009), and Nemo (2010). He lives in Penland, North Carolina.
