Vicky Alvear Shecter

Before she started writing for children, Shecter wrote for adults, mostly business writing. In 2007 her first children's book, Alexander the Great Rocks the World, received the Voice of Youth Advocates Honor Award for Non-fiction. Raised in Miami, she now lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
