Most kids love anything with wheels. There is a wonderful place for them to explore trains right in our own backyard. The Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth has authentic old-fashioned train cars and real train rides, too. At the library, you can check out a pass for free admission to the museum.
On the second Thursday of every month, the museum hosts an event for preschoolers and their families. A different vehicle is featured each time. Kids can see the vehicle of the month in person, play games, do crafts, and more. A storyteller from the Gwinnett County Public Library is there to read and sing songs with visiting families.
