From September 15 to October 15 annually, we recognize the positive impact that Hispanic Americans have had on the country. While it might seem strange that this month of celebration begins mid-way through the month, this is due to seven nations celebrating their independence during the first week of Hispanic Heritage Month. September 15th is the Independence Day of Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. September 16 is the Independence Day of Mexico, and September 18 is Chile’s Independence Day.
