Local Author Day

Local Author Day event at public library.
Gwinnett County Public Library will host Local Author Day on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Norcross Branch.

This exciting event provides a platform for local writers to showcase their work, connect with readers, and network with local authors. It allows readers to explore new authors, purchase books, and have them signed! We aim to bring libraries, local authors, and readers together throughout our community.

Applications for this event will be accepted until September 5, 2025. Submissions will not be accepted after this date.

Local Author Day Criteria and Rules

Participation in Local Author Day is only available through the online submission form. Based on the number of submissions received, it may be necessary to limit participation. Gwinnett County Public Library reserves the right to accept or refuse any submission at its discretion. You will be notified by late September if you are selected to participate.

Criteria for submission:

  • Priority is given to Gwinnett County authors, but authors from surrounding counties are also welcome.
  • Books must have been published within the last 3 years (2022-2025).
  • Books previously selected for Indie Author Day or Local Author Day 2024 cannot be resubmitted.
  • All genres of books are welcome, but genres that appeal to a broader audience (e.g. historical fiction, romance, fantasy, thriller, mystery, children/YA) will be given priority.
  • Only one book can be submitted.
  • The submission form and book for review must be received by September 5, 2025.

The publication’s quality, local interest, and artistic merit will also be considered. Books must be edited and published; manuscripts will not be accepted. Authors who do not have a printed copy of their book to sell are not eligible. Promotional material will not be considered in the selection process and will be discarded.

On the submission form, please submit only one (1) book to be reviewed. If selected, you can sell your additional books, although you are still limited to a single table.
